After Typhoon Milenyo gave us a good sound thrashing yesterday, most of Metro Manila is still without lights and running water. Here's a few pics of the damage nearer to home. I actually took a movie of how strongly the wind was blowing, but I'm not sure youtube is ready for my amateurish efforts yet :D

Signs of the Times 4

On my home from the market, I spotted these two signs -

On a wall facing the street: "Do Not Throw Your Garbage Here - Litters Will Be Prosecuted"

First thought: They can spell a hard word like 'prosecuted', but they have problems with the word 'litterers'? Second thought: if an alley cat gave birth nearby, would they put her kids in the clink?

At a carinderia*: "Goat 4 Sale: Live & Meat"

The grammar they're inflicting on the public these days...
